We are located about 500 metres from the island of Ortega where the Greeks founded the city many centuries ago.

There's lots to do and see here with palaces and fountains, museums, monuments and churches. Famous for its rare plant the Papyrus which is made to use paper, be sure to visit the museum where you will see plants dating back to the 15th century - they have been preserved and are extremely unique. For the art lovers amongst you the Bellomo Regional Museum houses many works dating back to medieval times and also some beautiful modern day pieces.

The Duomo - Cathedral of the City is ancient - dating back to the 5th century BC and sits on a depth of wisdom and faith over the years. Sit a while and just "be".

Shopping is is delightfully different here - there are precious metals, copies of ancient coins, gold and you can buy the locally made Papyrus paper - plain or coloured which makes a really lovely gift.
