Piazza Venezia sits at the foot of Capitoline Hill and is where four main roads converge - here you will find the amazing Palazzio Venezia built for Pope Paul II, the monument of Vittoriano - Victor Emanuel and a rather interesting Mausoleum dedicated to an unknown soldier - Altare Della Patria. This square is the central point of Rome and from where all roads lead to and from.
At the opposite end of the square sits the Roman Forum - Colosseum - the most imposing monument of ancient Rome - built by the Emperors of the Flavian dynasty.
