Next door you will find the Accademia Gallery and here is the centre of Venetian Art dating back to the 14th century.
Don't leave town without buying a piece of Murano glass - these works of art are exquisite. Glass blowing originated here in Venice and has since been copied all over the world. This is the place to buy those beads, necklaces and some rather funky knickknacks.
Be here in February and its carnival time - dress up in costume, wear those famous Venetian masks and take part in this wonderful party atmosphere.
