 Super spot right on the sea front. Lido is the main strip that sits off the mainland of Venice and looks directly out to sea. Wonderful location with lots of options for visits to the Lagoon Islands and the mainland Venice. Warm and friendly atmosphere with plenty of relaxing options.
Perfect holiday destination with a wake up view that's hard to beat. Take that first sip of coffee as you sit out on the balcony and contemplate the day ahead. A walk along the beach, splash in the ocean or perhaps a quick dip in the pool and a gentle swim before a buffet breakfast taken at your leisure.
Time out spending lazy days around the pool, sitting on the terrace, reading and chatting are the best way to start your holiday here. There are evenings with entertainment and a super restaurant where you can dine and enjoy a candlelit meal.
Once you feel a little more energetic then why not do some exploring. Take a ferry boat on to the island of Venice where you can see some of the main sights. St Marks Square and the Basilica are the favourite amongst visitors as is the Rialto Bridge where you can take those photos and discover the little shops and arcades. For main shopping head for Mercerie where you will find the exclusive names of Rolex, Cartier and many others.
Islands in the Lagoon are well worth a visit and the prettiest of them all is Burano and is likened to a miniature Venice with brightly coloured houses and is famous for its lacework which is a skill that has continued since the 16th century. Visit the Lace Museum and take a look in the Church of San Marino. Try the Bussolai Buranelli - from the cake shop!
