Exploring our ancient city is something that takes at least one lifetime - there's so much to see, experience and revel in. If its your first time in Rome then be sure not to miss the main sights - Vatican City with its rich and extensive museums and the Sistine Chapel. Pay tribute to the Colosseum - built by the Emperors of the Flavian Dynasty. The Roman Forum is found on Palatine Hill and St Peters Basilican is one of the most important and beautiful churches in Rome.

The Piazza di Spagna is a mystical "square" that is actually made up of two triangles that meet at the points, there is a fountain built in the shape of a boat and at the top of the steps sits the church - the whole scene is a monument in itself and the place where many a marriage proposal has taken place.

Piazza Venezia is where the four main roads converge and is the home of the Palazzio Venezia built for Pope Paul II. A rather interesting mausoleum is to be found here known as the Altare Della Patria.

Museums, churches and a wealth of beautiful boutiques, intimate restaurants and trendy cafe bars fill the city. Be sure to take a walk through the Borghese Gardens - peaceful and heavenly!

Good stuff: Very convenient for the Tourist Hotspots

Bad stuff: limited choice for breakfast

Overall: This is a typical city break hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was very good. Once we had found our bearings it was easy to make our way around the local sights using the maps and directions provided by the staff. I would recommend the hotel for short breaks - just be wary of the traffic!!

Good stuff: Excellent location, central to all main sights. Quiet hotel.

Bad stuff: Breakfast was adequate, but would prefer fresh milk, juices and coffee (rather than machine drinks)

Overall: Excellent location. Hotel was generally very pleasant, with friendly and helpful front desk staff. Clean and comfortable room, but quite small. Reasonable rate for central location.
