Stroll around the marbled streets and browse the many shops - boutiques, accessories and jewellers - especially in Piazza Maggiore - designs that are ancient and modern.
Home to the top Business School and the best Medical School and filled with bars, cafes and restaurants where you will hear students exchanging ideas, business people discussing ideas and sight seers marvelling at how much there is to glean here.
The Museum of Archaeology is filled with Egyptian and ancient Greek collections and even has the part marble torso of Nero. Churches steeped in history - Basilica di San Domenico and Basilica di San Petronio are well worth a visit.
