We are housed in a 13th century building, facing the Rio del Remedio. Its a quiet and serene place just a few short steps away from the famous and stylish St Marks Square.
Wake up and smell the coffee - cafes and coffee shops surround you and just a short walk away you can view the beautiful Querini Stampalia Gallery in the Santa Maria Formosa Square. This is the place for art lovers and we advise you to see some of the best known collections here. Visit the Peggy Guggenheim collection - she was kind enough to leave a legacy here and there are masterpieces in her once home by Picasso, Dali, Kandinski and many others. Next door you will find the Accademia Gallery which is one of the most visited galleries and is filled with Venetian art work that dates back to the 14th century.
The art of glass blowing started here in Venice and you really should take a piece of Murano glass home with you - there are many designs and colours with the more traditional paperweights and then some rather funky candy glass shapes complete with wrappers and miniature aquariums for the children to collect.
How about some pasties, cakes and a coffee - its that time I think and you have to sit in St Marks Square just once and have that all expensive but delicious and stylish coffee - do it!
