The Cathedral is pride of place in the centre - Santa Maria dei Fiore with her massive dome designed by Giotti is visited by millions of people every year. There are 500 steps that lead to the top of the dome and from her you can enjoy the most amazing views over the entire city. Inside you are treated to a feast of frescoes, marvellous mosaics and glorious stained glass windows with a story to tell.
