There's a beautiful island called Isola Bella where you can enjoy the nature reserve and perhaps do some snorkeling if you desire.
Lots of walking opportunities and why not treat yourself to a day out and conquer Mount Etna - there's a Funicular and 4x4 vehicles to take you up there - once at the summit you will enjoy superb views and of course have the best photos to show your family and friends.
The town of Taormina has some interesting sites to visit including the Archaeological Museum which shows the history and culture of the region, as well as the fascinating Museo Siciliano d'Arte e Tradizioni Popolari, where you will learn of the folklore and traditions of the beautiful Sicilian people.
If you fancy an archaeological walk then you can take the Taormina to Castelmola footpath and discover a number of necropolis along the way - enjoy the views and the scenery too.
End your days with gastronomic delights and a couple of glasses of fine wine. Perfect.
