The Bellomo Regional Museum is the place for art lovers whilst the more unusual and rare Papyrus Museum is where you will find the plant that paper is made from - there is an ancient specimen that dates back to the 15th century and is still in tact to this day.
Orecchio di Dioniso are the deep caves that go down 65 metres deep, 11 metres wide and 23 metres high and have the most amazing acoustics - any sound produced in here is amplified up to 16 times.
Visit the castles of Maniace and Eurialo - both taking you back to Byzantine times and tell a wealth of stories.
