We are delightfully located in the heart centre of Florence, very close to the River Arno and putting you in touch with the life, soul and many sites of our beautiful city. A warm welcome in a friendly environment where you can totally relax and unwind. Perfect.

You will find us just across from the Parco dell Cascine and the renowned Lungarni. A short walk through the trees and garden area and down to the much loved River Arno where you can take those romantic strolls and soak up the whole atmosphere before you.

Sink in to super spacious ensuite rooms that are filled with subtle colour and lighting and have all the charm and delight you would expect. Wander through the green parks and gardens and view the landscaped and amazing creations in the Boboli Gardens that surround the Piazza dei Pitti. Built for the Medici Family and filled with masterpieces, paintings, artwork and fine furnishings.

Shopping is wonderful here and there are some rather select jewellers to be found along the Ponte Vecchio - treat yourself to something stylish and a little different.

Museums, monuments, churches and the Santa Maria dei Fiori Cathedral - feast your eyes on the marvellous mosaics, fabulous frescoes and amazing architecture and artwork. Stained glass with a story to tell and the influence of Giotti, Brunelleschi and other greats of their time.

Step across to Piazza della Signoria which is a museum piece within itself - here is the town hall, the strongest Bell Tower and the Grand Duke Cosimo I as he sits on his horse and takes pride of place - the Fountain of Neptune and a copy of Michaelangelo's David - simply sit and take it all in - slowly.

To see the original David - pop in to the Gallery of Accademia - walk all the way around this amazing single piece of marble and marvel at the magic manifested before your very eyes.

Good stuff: The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel even offered a choice of pillows. The bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel, with bright white sheets and comforter.

Bad stuff: We would have enjoyed more choice in television stations. The only English station was CNN. Also, Internet access, while available, was expensive and sometimes slow.

Overall: I would like to have had more information on the area surrounding the hotel, clearer indications of the distances to major attractions, recommendations on nearby restaurants, etc. This is most helpful for first-time visitors to the area. Though the staff was very helpful when asked, prior knowledge of the area helps the guest in planning activities.
