Angelic place to base yourself in our wonderfully cultural and arty city. We are just a short walk from the Venice-Lido water bus station. A warm and welcoming place to stay with just a few rooms making this rather exclusive, cosy and romantic. Helpful and unobtrusive staff.
Completely restored in Liberty style, dating back to the start of the 20th century. Fine furnishings and restful decor. Start your day with a pleasant walk down to the water bus stop and take off to St Marks Square for that exclusive, expensive and delicious coffee!
See the sights round and about - there's plenty of shopping with every name to choose from - Prada, Escada and Gucci to name but a few - be sure to buy from reputable boutiques and fashion stores as anyone caught buying fakes and copies will pay a heavy fine. Splash out on that new perfume and treat yourself to a Venetian mask - exquisitely made and full of colour and character.
Venice is famous for its fine art collections so be sure to visit the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery and the Accademia next door.
Rialto Bridge is another sight and visit the Clock Tower too.
Romantic walks of La Zatteri and visit the Golden Palace.
Evenings should be spent enjoying the social scene - there's theatre with ballets, operas and musical recitals and if you are here in February you can enjoy the Carnival where everyone dresses up in period costume, wears those masks and generally takes the whole scene back a century or two - magical and beautiful.
Restaurants and cafe bars are a plenty so be sure to indulge in the delicious cuisine and relax.
