Sorrento is a place filled with tourist shops, restaurants and cafe bars and the Piazza Tasso is the main and central place for people to gather - take a table here and enjoy the panoramic views over the Gulf of Naples. Photographic shots and just the chance to drink a coffee in a fabulous location.
Visit the 14th century Church of San Francesco with its pretty flowery cloister and spend time there just musing, reading a book or sketching the scene. The Medieval Cathedral and the Museo Correale is where you can learn about the town's history and culture.
If you fancy going further afield then why not take a trip to Capri or Ischia - the islands close by - beautiful and magical and well worth a day trip.
Evenings strolling along the promenade and enjoying the clink of the boats and the lights on the water as you breath in the night air and decide where to dine. The Sorrento cuisine is to die for - pasta and sauces that will leave wondering how these flavours came to be - the secret of Italian chefs remains there.
