The town and nearby region is made up of a handful of picturesque rhioni (districts) such as the Colli di Fontanelle, the hills of which provide great views of Mount Vesuvius, Ischia and Naples. Here you get a one-day crash course in Campanian cooking, where you learn how to make traditional dishes with local produce in a fun and involving environment - great for learning new recipes with which to impress your friends back home. Sticking with food and drink, the town is often used as a starting point for many wine tours of the area, either in the neighbouring hills, or further afield to Avellino.
