Shopping is to be found around three main Centro Commerciales and streets filled with exclusive shops, beautiful boutiques, lingerie, accessory and jewellery outlets. From a Montblanc pen to Gucci Perfume to Escada and Prada clothing there is something for everyone. Portaportese is the famous market and where you will find everything from the kitchen sink to old socks, football shoes to those hidden and unusual treasures and gadgets.
Being in Rome means you must pay homage to Vatican City, see the Colosseum, spend time at Forum and Palatine Hill and walk through the Borghese Gardens. Monuments, churches, Piazzas, ruins and castles are in abundance. Stand on the Spanish Steps for long enough and you might get a proposal of marriage!!
Festivals, events and processions take place throughout the year - Spring time is for Easter parades, art exhibitions, the International Tennis Championships and the Horse Show; Summer time is for flowers, outdoor entertainment and fireworks. The Autumn is the time wine connoisseurs visit, antique dealers are in town and the craft fairs are to be found. Winter time is dedicated to the Madonna and the Nativity.
