Pick up a piece of Murano glass ware - there are numerous designs and colours and you can visit the factory on Murano island where there's also a museum with over 4000 pieces displayed.
For art lovers a must visit is the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery and the Academy of Fine Arts next door - both have an abundance of wonderful masterpieces.
Closer to home why not take one of our organised cruises to Quarto d'Altino which stands on the bank of the Sile River - a most beautiful river with a super natural park - ride through the lagoon, view the other islands and breath in the fresh air.
